London City Airport Fun Day

Creating a cost neutral community engagement platform

header_cityairport_04[1]
  • London City Airport sought to offer their local community a free annual day out in recognition of them being airport neighbours
  • The London City Airport Fun Day was born – with a host of arts and cultural entertainment, a live airshow, aircraft for children to tour cockpits and fun fair rides – all offered free to Newham residents
  • We worked as a key part of planning and delivery team, staging the event for 30,000 visitors at the London City Airport site for three consecutive years
  • We secured sponsorship to fund the entire event and generate a surplus to support a local charity (Richard House Children’s Hospice)
  • We worked to recruit employees to volunteer and make the event a reality
  • We worked to engage all airport suppliers for a financial or in-kind involvement in the event

Testimonials

It has been a great pleasure working with and alongside Bonnie for the past eight months in preparation for the London City Airport Fun Day. Due to her hard work and diligence, she ensured that there was sufficient sponsorship to cover the costs of the event whilst also enabling a fantastic donation to Richard House Children’s Hospice. Funds raised were sufficient to fund two of our Play and Care workers for a further 12 months

Viv Talbot, Community Fundraising Manager

Bonnie Clayton worked as a sponsorship consultant with London City Airport for three consecutive years to raise sponsorship for the airport’s largest annual community event – Fun Day. Bonnie’s focused and results-driven approach raised more funds than ever before in the 12 years that the event has been running. We would highly recommend her as a sponsorship and fundraising consultant

Bonnie is an ardent, hardworking sponsorship professional with an excellent eye for detail. I have contracted Bonnie’s services twice to secure sponsorship for our major annual community event (over 25,000 visitors) and have just signed her up for the third time. Companies who expect a high level of professional from consultants who represent their brand would no doubt find Bonnie a joy to work with
