Haringey Shed

Haringey Shed is a performing arts company providing creative workshops and professionally produced performance opportunities for the children and young people of Haringey, North London.
Inclusion is at the heart of their ethos and they always strive to work in ways that accommodate the needs of all young people whatever their abilities, disabilities or backgrounds. Haringey Shed was created as the first outreach group of the Chicken Shed Theatre Company in 2000 and adopted Chicken Shed’s inclusive theatre techniques.
Bonnie Clayton worked with Haringey Shed throughout 2007. She was recruited to exploit an opportunity to create a fundraising and cultivation event involving David Lammy MP, Minister for Culture and Royle Family actress Sue Johnston.
Bonnie worked with an events organiser to plan and organise the event, whilst undertaking prospect research to recruit suitable corporate and celebrity guests to attend. A wealth of support for Haringey Shed was secured as a result.
Bonnie Clayton’s work with Haringey Shed also involved producing fundraising materials and writing the fundraising section of the charity’s website. Her work culminated in devising a PR and marketing strategy for the organisation.
See below for a film featuring David Lammy, Sue Johnston and Haringey Shed members produced for the event.
